Wonderful Plano Personal Trainer

Friday, July 31st, 2009

We have been training with a Lady Trainers To Go Plano personal trainer and just completed our 36 sessions.  My husband and I were very impressed that each workout session was handled so professionally. Our personal trainer in Plano was always prompt, energetic, skilled and knowledgeable.

She was also creative with our workouts. Instead of the ordinary, yet effective ways of getting in shape, she kept it full of variety. To keep us from getting burnt out on constant cardio and strength training, our Plano personal trainer incorporated Pilates, yoga and boxing into our workout sessions. Having this mix of exercises definitely helped both of us stay interested and motivated. Without her creativity those 6 a.m. sessions would’ve been unbearable.

Both of us feel that having a personal trainer come to your home is the ideal way to get in shape. Neither one of us is a huge fan of the gym, so working out at home gave us privacy, comfort and convenience. Our personal trainer also took into account our personal fitness needs and focused only on the best exercises to great results. Our schedules are very busy, so it meant a lot to us that she focused on only the necessary exercises. Having a trainer come to you definitely saves you time. More importantly, you get a distraction-free workout, which allows you to achieve your goals faster. We’re partial to our trainer, but are confident that Lady Trainers To Go is staffed with other wonderful Plano personal trainers. We definitely recommend this program to friends and family.

Gender Predictor-Does it Work?

Friday, July 31st, 2009

Down through the ages when a woman gets pregnant, everyone wants to know if it will be a boy or a girl. The mom to be wants to know so that she can plan for the nursery or plan what clothes to buy. The dad to be wants to know so he can hopefully get his son ready for whatever sport he loves.

Of course they both just want the child to be born healthy without any complications. Still they try to seek out a gender predictor of some sort so they will have a good idea as to what to expect, a boy or a girl.

Now the grandmother of the newborn, the maternal or paternal, of course can tell what the mama is carrying based on some ancient fable she has been taught or has heard of. These methods of predicting the sex of the child have always been “iffy” to say the least. But don’t try to tell granny any different. She knows that her gender predictor is correct.

Of course their way of predicting the sex of the child has always worked, or nearly always. They can give you plenty of examples to prove that they are right. Now of course they won’t cite any examples where they were wrong. We know where that would lead.

Then there is the scientific gender predictor that has a little more fact and a lot less fiction to prove their point. These method have some validity but still can be wrong on occasion. For one thing you may have not “carried the one” or misfigured a date or some such thing.

The point is don’t count on either method to be 100% accurate. It doesn’t always work out that way. Whatever gender predictor you use, take it with a grain of salt and just be happy with what you have.

Downline retention Is Crucial for Achieving In Network Marketing Business

Friday, July 31st, 2009

Coping with downline attrition creates a big problem for many network marketers. In simple words, for each person he recruits to his MLM business, another two or even more is going to resign before even commencing to work up their venture. An extra ugly reality about MLM is that over 90 % of mlm-ers are taken to cleaners, instead of earning money. This issue really donates to the erosion of the downlines. Consequently the permanent resolution how to prevent downline attrition and build and keep together a doable downline associates, is the objective of all determined Network marketers.

The question is now, how then put together a stronger downline? How to maintain the downlines and the downline downlines? There are various situations to attain downline retention. First of all, before one member is recruited, select each prospect cautiously; decide on the ones who do have the real wish do to do what it takes to be successful.

So therefore, supply proper training for the reason the largest part of the new members have no promotion or network background. The reality is the majority of the multilevel marketing firms present excellent inside coaching to preserve the downline retention to lowest amount. But by evolving into a leader, one is able to stand out still by providing own elite recruiting system. There enough varieties around, especially, if one put to use internet for promotion and marketing.

Certainly, internet opened an amazing window of opportunity for the different recruiting systems. Downline builder scripts make it possible to put together the network earlier and more efficiently. A number of of the scripts are pretty dated as the internet progresses swiftly; many are entirely new and very first-class certainly. Searching Google is going to help to locate the appropriate script for every eager sponsor.

However, with the technology comes a enormous responsibility. Implementing the scripts and working  on online marketing should never ever replace a indispensable human touch. multilevel marketing was and is about people joining people. Here nothing has changed for years. Internet has not changed that view of MLM marketing, either. No matter how much a network marketer wishes to work, his downline won’t grow if he merely gives attention to sponsoring; downline retention will be just a wannabe target. Shifting the attitude from a recruiter to a sponsor and offering the downline members fantastic support and reason is going to yield miracles: the miracles that are able to make downline retention succeed.

Your Medical Insurance Is On the Line And an Organization You Have Never Heard of Is Holding the Reigns

Friday, July 31st, 2009

They know who you are, whether you smoke and how fast you drive. If you’re applying for medical insurance, you need to know what the MIB knows.

What does medical insurance have in common with the CIA, Freemasons and the Skull and Bones society? Your eligibility for affordable medical insurance or major medical insurance plans just may be shrouded in the mysterious folds of an organization the general public knows little about. There are no secret handshakes or enigmatic symbols, but it does have a coding system known only by its employees and members.

What is this ominous-sounding organization? It’s the MIB Group, formerly known as the Medical Information Bureau, and it provides information to insurance companies that can make or break a consumer’s medical insurance application. Though the MIB has been in existence since 1902, most consumers have not heard of it.

The MIB is described as a “membership corporation,” and is owned by approximately 470 insurance companies who make up the MIB’s membership. The MIB’s stated mission is to detect and deter fraud that may occur during the course of a person obtaining medical insurance, life insurance, disability income and other types of healthcare insurance. It protects insurance companies from being defrauded by an applicant who knowingly or unknowingly omits critical information or lies.

The MIB is a lot like a credit reporting agency. It provides information to insurance companies to help them decide whether or not to provide medical insurance to an applicant. The information also helps the insurance company determine the patient’s premiums.

Not everyone has a report on file with the MIB. If you have not applied for medical insurance or an individual life insurance policy within the last 7 years, then you do not have an MIB report. According to figures reported by the MIB, the organization collects information on around 15% to 20% of people who have applied for either medical insurance or life insurance policies.

The MIB’s similarity to credit reporting agencies isn’t a superficial one. The U.S. government classifies the MIB as a consumer reporting agency, which means it must comply with both the US Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act. That means consumers have the right to a copy of the information reported by the MIB to insurance companies. In fact, you have access to one free MIB report each year.

Some of the information collected and reported by the MIB includes:

  • Medical conditions
  • Medical test results
  • Negative habits such as drugs, alcohol abuse, smoking and overeating
  • Hazardous occupations and/or hobbies
  • Poor driving history

Information collected about the MIB stays in a consumer’s files for seven years. Also, a consumer’s record will indicate which, if any, members have requested their information within the previous 12 months.

Because this information can affect a person’s ability to obtain medical insurance, consumers are encouraged to check with the MIB and to request their report if one exists. That way the consumer can check the report for accuracy and will be aware of any issues which may negatively impact their ability to qualify for medical insurance. Consumers have the ability to dispute any of the information on their report through the MIB’s dispute process.

To request your file, phone the MIB by calling their toll-free number: 866-692-6901. You will be asked to provide certain personal identifying information, and only you can request your file. A consumer’s guide to the MIB is available on the group’s website at mib.com.

Understanding The High Costs of Hearing Aids

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

Medicare and most private insurance plans pay only for the doctor visit to determine the need for a hearing aid, The device itself is generally not covered. However, there are exceptions, including coverage for cochlear implants to treat severe hearing loss or deafness, some Veterans Affairs programs and some federal employee insurance. For the most part, the cost of hearing aids must be met by the purchaser. The private plans that do pay for hearing aids usually contribute only $500 to $1,000 toward the cost. Hearing aids are seen as one of those medical costs, like vision and dental, that does not deserve full insurance coverage.

About 37 million people suffer from some form of hearing loss, from minor impairment to total deafness, in the United States. But less than a quarter of the people who could benefit from hearing aids actually use them. Cost is a big factor. Hearing aids average about $2,000 each with prices ranging from $1,400 to $5,000 apiece.

Hearing aid technology has improved significantly in the last decade. Almost all hearing aids used today are digital; sound goes into a microphone and is digitally processed by a chip, amplified, then sent to the ear. Digital technology allows the aids to be programmed for an individuals exact hearing loss needs. This is a big improvement from the old fashioned analog varieties that were little more than an amplifier with a volume control. This is also the main reason for the high costs of hearing aids today. But the technical leap is not the only reason for high prices. Traditionally, hearing aids have been sold through professionals who also fit and adjust the devices as part of the overall cost. The system, however, leaves room for abuse and fraud.

“Thats why choosing an audiologist or hearing aid technician can be just as important as choosing the aid itself”, said Jude Liptak of Colonial Center for Hearing, a provider of Newport News Hearing Aids and audiology services. The following recommendations are recommended.

Shop for your provider. No matter how state of the art your hearing aid may be, if it is not properly programmed and adjusted it will not do you any good.

Newport News audiologist, state that two people with the same degree of hearing loss will process sound differently depending on the cause of the hearing diminishment and how long the problem has gone untreated. That makes it difficult to buy the right hearing aid over the counter or through the Internet.

Most hearing aids are sold by an audiologist or a hearing instrument specialist. Audiologists have a doctorate, but not a medical degree, while instrument specialists go through a training program and an apprenticeship. Sometimes a hearing aid center will employ both types of professionals. Your ear, nose and throat medical specialist may have an audiologist on staff who will dispense hearing aids.

Questions to ask before a hearing aid purchase

Do you sell a wide range of products?

Your provider should sell every style of hearing aid, including behind the ear open fit, behind the ear with ear mold, inside the ear and inside the ear canal. That way you will have a better chance of finding the type that works best and is most comfortable for you.

Because it would be difficult for a dispenser to become an expert in fitting all the various brands of hearing aids available, a limited choice of manufacturers is not necessarily a red flag. But do watch out if a dispenser is pushing a particular brand without discussing other options.

What kind of testing do you do?

Make sure your dispenser will do an extensive hearing assessment in a soundproof booth to determine the type, degree and dimension of your hearing loss.

The Food and Drug Administration, which regulates the hearing loss industry, also requires you to get a doctors examination. If you do not have that exam and do not want one, the dispenser must have you sign a waiver before selling you a hearing aid.

In addition, the audiologist or hearing aid technician should also do a follow up test while you are wearing the new aid to determine how well it is working in several simulated situations.

Is there a separate fitting fee?

In most cases, the initial fitting, when you first learn how to insert and use your new aid, should be included in the purchase price. With the behind the ear style using an ear mold, however, some dispensers charge an extra fee for the mold.

How often can I come in for adjustments?

The best answer is, as much as you need to. Barring that, make sure the purchase price covers at least two or three visits after the initial fitting. The need for adjustments and fine tuning is almost inevitable.

Can I get a copy of my test results?

As with eyeglass prescriptions, you should be able to get a copy of your hearing tests. That way, if you do not like working with that particular dispenser, you will not have to repeat that rigmarole when you choose another one.

Once you choose a provider, make sure you get a written contract and understand what exactly is included in the price. Any fee for follow up visits should be spelled out.

Once you buy, manufacturers offer a trial period during which you can return your hearing aid at no cost or for a minimal fee. Many states mandate a minimum trial period, usually 30 days. Some providers and manufacturers offer 45 days. And make sure your contract specifies that you will get all or most of your money back if you return the hearing aid or aids within the trial period.

This document should also cover the length of the warranty and the cost to replace lost or damaged aids, and specify the policy on batteries. Some providers include a continuous supply of batteries to encourage clients to continue to use their aids. Although the batteries are widely available in retail stores for a dollar or so, the cost can add up.

Diagnosing Vitiligo

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

Our skin makes its coloring from pigments. They are colored pigments. Individuals with dark skin have more of these pigments and those with lighter skin have less of them. This pigment is known as melanin.

The main function of melanin is to guard the body from sun rays. That is why, we get tanned when we expose ourselves to sun. Tanning means more production of melanin. Cells known as melanocytes in the skin produce melanin.

If for any cause, the skin begins losing melanin from a patch on the body, light skin develops on that place. This is called disease of vitiligo. There is no specific cause known for vitiligo except for the thought that the body destroys the melanin itself. That is why this is called an autoimmune disease (a disease where the body attacks itself).

Vitiligo can develop on the whole body, or it can stop after creating few patches. Anybody can get it on any part of the body. There is no perfect cure for it. There is no prevention for vitiligo. Vitiligo also exposes skin to sun rays and that is dangerous. Let us find out more about it.

Vitiligo can develop on any part of the body, at any age and in anyone. Though it is believed that exposed parts of body have higher chances of developing Vitiligo, it can appear anywhere. Color of skin does not affect the probability of getting vitiligo. Similarly, it can strike both the sexes and at any age and treatment for vitiligo for everyone is very similar.

It is estimated that in about one-fifth of the cases, other family members may also have vitiligo. As vitiligo is an autoimmune disorder, its patients are monitored for other autoimmune diseases such as thyroid disorders, alopecia aerta, etc. You should talk to your doctor about this in detail.

Vitiligo begins with a small area of lighter color, which slowly turns to a white patch. Many patches can also develop at the same time. After some time, the discoloration may stop and then restart after some time. Some people may lose all the skin pigment. The hair also loses color at the site of vitiligo.

The cause of vitiligo is not known and so it is difficult to provide a definitive cure for vitiligo, but it is thought that either the body destroys the melanin or it destroys itself. But the result is loss of pigment that protects body against sun damage.

I hope this helps you better understand the causes and effects of vitiligo. You shoul seek medical advice should begin to experience this mysterious disorder.

DISCLAIMER: I do hope this helps, but please note that I am not a medical professional so you should consult with a medical doctor before taking any medical advice from the online world.

North Stradbroke Island - Profile

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

Often known as Straddie by people from Brisbane, North Stradbroke Island is the postcard beach get-away. A little more than 30 km (19 miles) southeast of Brisbane and the Gold Coast, it is located at the south end of Moreton Bay. At 30 km (19 mile) long, it is one of the worlds largest, boasting beautiful beaches, a rugged coastline and inland freshwater lagoons.

It lost its native name of Minijerribah in 1827, when Captain H. J. Rous, or Viscount Dunwich, Commander of the HMS Rainbow, named the haven after his father the Earl of Stradbroke, the main town after his own title, and Rainbow Beach after his ship.

A cluster of three picturesque villages — Dunwich, Amity Point and Point Lookout — act as convivial bases for many of the islands local and international visitors.

Dunwich was once a prison colony and quarantine station, and, as is often the case, its cemetery is a telling record of the islands historical past. At Point Lookout, the aptly named Whale Rock is the best spot from which to scan the vast oceans in search of migrating humpback whales, dolphins and turtles.

In the 1960s, sand mining operations began to impact on the fragile island eco-system, but by the 1990s environmental issues came dominant and half of the island became a national park. Mining is still very active on the island, but mainly away in the restricted southern end.

Point Lookout on the eastern surf side of the island is a natural draw-card. Spreading across Straddies single rocky headland it overlooks a chain of white beaches. The western side enjoys the calmer waters of the bay and is safer for swimming. The island is famous for its angling — with the annual Straddie Classic every August being one of Australias richest and best-known fishing competitions.

Can you get away without using braided rugs?

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

Rugs can serve several purposes, anything from wiping the dirt off your feet to adding decor to a room and even as room separators. They are highly versatile, movable and can be used on either hard surface floors like pergo laminate flooring or carpeting. For these reasons they make a great addition to any home in a multitude of forms.

One of the most common applications for braided rugs is to put it in the middle of a room with a coffee table sitting on top of it. It defines the center of the speaker area for the room and keeps the floor from having this big empty space that no one knows what to do with.

But what kind of rug should you choose? Well, it depends on a variety of things.

1. Quality costs money so if you’re very picky about feel, color and thread counts then save up before purchasing. Designs abound and literally anything you can think of can be done.

2. Most people would agree that size matters when it comes to these rugs. If you buy the wrong size you’ll end up with either too small or too large an impression.

3. Will it get dirty? If the rug needs to be durable and stand up some serious abuse, like people wiping their feet before walking all over your kitchen floor then you’ll want something designed to take this torture. If the rug is really just a showpiece in a room that is practically never used then you don’t have to get something industrial strength.

Should you just go out and buy the first one you see or spend time searching? This is tougher because the options are so wide ranging. I recommend starting at flooring centers. Places that sell items like laminate flooring would also have some knowledge about rugs to put over it. You can also consult with home centers and home improvement stores to see their selection. Any place that doesn’t specialize in flooring is going to have the common mainstream styles. If you’re looking for something more unique then go to a specialty shop. Have your color palette in mind and then pick it based on the design that most catches your eye. Take a picture and hold it up to your room area. See how well it fits. If you have a match go buy that rug!
